Last Updated: July 2026

1. Founder & Business Verification

Founder & Business Verification is a mandatory onboarding stage for applicants who have been accepted into the LaunchPadX Program. The purpose of this process is to verify participant identity, validate founder and business information, maintain the integrity of the program, and establish accurate participant records before program commencement.

Successful completion of this stage activates a participant's access to the LaunchPadX Program and the Investment Readiness Accelerator.

2. Why We Conduct Verification

The Founder & Business Verification process enables GrowthConnect to:

  • Confirm the identity of accepted participants.
  • Validate founder and business information submitted during the application process.
  • Protect the program against fraud, impersonation, and duplicate participation.
  • Maintain accurate participant records throughout the LaunchPadX journey.
  • Prepare participants for future funding, partnership, certification, and ecosystem opportunities.
  • Ensure a trusted and credible founder community.

Verification is a standard onboarding requirement for all accepted participants before they officially commence the program.

3. Information We May Request

Depending on the verification requirements, participants may be asked to provide:

  • Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Residential Address, Date of Birth
  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  • Government-issued identification (where required)
  • Business Name, Business Description, Business Registration Details (where applicable)
  • Other information reasonably required to complete the verification process.

Where a business has not yet been registered, participants may still complete the verification process. Business registration becomes mandatory later during the Legal Readiness stage of the LaunchPadX journey.

4. How Your Information Is Used

Information collected during verification is used solely for legitimate program-related purposes, including identity verification, founder verification, business verification, participant onboarding, compliance and record validation, program administration, and future participation within the GrowthConnect ecosystem.

Your information is not collected for advertising purposes and will not be sold or disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

5. LaunchPadX ID

Upon successful verification, participants receive a unique LaunchPadX ID. Your LaunchPadX ID serves as your official participant identifier throughout the LaunchPadX Program and is used to manage your participation, progress, program records, certificates, and future opportunities within the GrowthConnect ecosystem.

6. Independent Verification Process

GrowthConnect works with independent verification and compliance service providers to perform aspects of the Founder & Business Verification process. These providers assist in validating participant information and carrying out the necessary compliance checks required before program commencement.

To protect the security, integrity, and operational reliability of our verification process, we do not publicly disclose the identities, technical infrastructure, or operational workflows of our verification providers. Only the information reasonably necessary to complete the required verification activities is processed during this stage.

7. Handling of BVN and NIN Information

Where required, BVN and NIN information is collected solely for the purpose of identity verification and compliance. These details are never requested for marketing purposes and are processed only as part of the verification process.

GrowthConnect does not sell, publicly disclose, or intentionally expose this information to unauthorized parties. Where verification services are required, relevant information may be securely processed by authorized independent verification providers acting on behalf of the program and under appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

8. Verification Fee

The Founder & Business Verification process requires a verification fee. This fee covers the operational costs associated with participant verification and compliance activities, including identity verification, record validation, onboarding administration, and related verification services carried out as part of the LaunchPadX onboarding process.

The verification fee is not a program tuition fee, funding contribution, or payment guaranteeing admission, certification, or funding. Payment of the verification fee does not guarantee progression beyond the verification stage. Admission into subsequent stages of the program remains subject to successful verification and compliance with all applicable program requirements.

9. Data Protection

GrowthConnect is committed to protecting participant information through appropriate administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards. Access to participant information is restricted to authorized personnel and authorized service providers whose responsibilities require such access. We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.

10. Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for ensuring that:

  • All information submitted is accurate and truthful.
  • Supporting documentation, where requested, is authentic.
  • Information is updated where changes occur.
  • Verification requirements are completed within the communicated timelines.

Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in disqualification from the LaunchPadX Program.

11. Questions About Verification

Participants who require clarification regarding the Founder & Business Verification process, their personal information, or verification requirements are encouraged to contact the GrowthConnect team through our official support channels. Our team will be pleased to provide guidance and assistance throughout the verification process.

Refund Policy

12. General Policy

GrowthConnect operates a strict no-refund policy for all payments made in connection with its programs, services, products, and related activities. By making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.

13. Verification Fees

The Founder & Business Verification fee covers the administrative, verification, compliance, and onboarding processes required to review and validate participant information. Once payment has been successfully processed, verification activities and related operational costs are initiated. For this reason, verification fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether you decide not to continue with the program, fail to complete the verification process, miss program deadlines, are unable to participate after making payment, or your application or verification is unsuccessful due to inaccurate, incomplete, or false information provided.

14. Digital Products & Course Materials

All purchases of digital products, lesson materials, downloadable resources, playbooks, templates, recordings, and other digital content are final. Because these products become immediately accessible upon purchase, no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be provided.

15. Program Fees & Other Payments

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by GrowthConnect, all payments made for programs, events, services, registrations, or related activities are non-refundable and non-transferable.

16. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If you believe you have made a duplicate payment or have been charged incorrectly due to a verified technical or payment processing error, please contact the GrowthConnect team promptly. Verified duplicate or erroneous transactions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and, where appropriate, resolved accordingly.

17. Exceptional Circumstances (Refunds)

GrowthConnect reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review exceptional circumstances where a refund may be required by applicable law or where a confirmed administrative or payment processing error has occurred. Any such review does not create an obligation to issue refunds in future cases.

18. Contact Us (Refunds)

If you have questions regarding this Refund Policy or believe a payment has been processed in error, please contact the GrowthConnect team through our official support channels before initiating a payment dispute. We encourage all participants to carefully review program information, eligibility requirements, timelines, and payment details before making any payment.

Deadline & Late Submission Policy

19. Program Deadlines

LaunchPadX is a structured, cohort-based program with defined timelines for every stage of the founder journey. To ensure fairness, effective program delivery, and a consistent experience for all participants, founders are expected to complete each required stage within the communicated deadlines. Deadlines apply to, but are not limited to: application submissions, Founder Assessment, Founder & Business Verification, Investment Readiness Accelerator assignments, Business Profiling, Legal Readiness, The Capital registration, Video Introduction submissions, and other program activities communicated by GrowthConnect.

20. Responsibility of Participants (Deadlines)

Participants are responsible for monitoring official program communications and ensuring that all required tasks are completed before the applicable deadline. GrowthConnect communicates deadlines through official channels, including email, the Founder Community, the WhatsApp Channel, and other designated communication platforms. Failure to receive or read a reminder does not extend or waive a published deadline.

21. Late Submissions

Unless otherwise communicated by GrowthConnect, submissions received after the stated deadline may not be accepted. Where operationally possible, GrowthConnect may, at its sole discretion, grant an extension or reopen a stage for specific participants. Such exceptions are entirely discretionary and should not be considered standard practice or an entitlement.

22. Missed Deadlines

Participants who fail to complete a required stage within the specified timeframe may:

  • Lose access to the current stage.
  • Be unable to progress to the next stage of the program.
  • Become ineligible for associated opportunities within that cohort.
  • Be required to wait for a future cohort before continuing, where applicable.

GrowthConnect reserves the right to determine whether a participant may continue in the current cohort or defer participation to a future intake.

23. Exceptional Circumstances (Deadlines)

Where exceptional circumstances arise, participants are encouraged to contact the GrowthConnect team as early as possible. While every request will be considered fairly, GrowthConnect cannot guarantee deadline extensions or reinstatement into a cohort.

Disqualification & Integrity Policy

24. Our Commitment to Integrity

GrowthConnect is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and trustworthy ecosystem for every founder participating in LaunchPadX and The Capital. Every participant is expected to act honestly, professionally, and in good faith throughout the program.

25. Integrity Expectations

Participants are expected to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Submit only authentic documents.
  • Complete their own assignments and assessments.
  • Respect fellow participants, judges, mentors, partners, and the GrowthConnect team.
  • Comply with all published program requirements, policies, and guidelines.

26. Grounds for Disqualification

GrowthConnect reserves the right to suspend or permanently disqualify any participant found to have engaged in conduct including, but not limited to:

  • Providing false or misleading information.
  • Submitting forged or altered documents.
  • Impersonation or identity fraud.
  • Academic dishonesty or plagiarism.
  • Fraudulent business claims or fabricated business information.
  • Abuse, harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour.
  • Attempts to manipulate program outcomes or funding decisions.
  • Misuse of GrowthConnect platforms, communities, or resources.
  • Any conduct that compromises the integrity, reputation, or objectives of the program.

27. Verification-Related Misrepresentation

Where a participant is found to have deliberately submitted false identity information, fake business details, forged documentation, or any other fraudulent information during the Founder & Business Verification process, GrowthConnect reserves the right to reject the verification, immediately terminate the participant's involvement in the current cohort, cancel access to all LaunchPadX program activities, withdraw any offers, certificates, awards, funding, or benefits that may have been granted based on the false information, and restrict the participant from future participation in LaunchPadX or other GrowthConnect programs where appropriate.

28. Fair Review Process

GrowthConnect recognises that genuine mistakes can occur. Where a verification issue appears to result from an error, omission, or inconsistency rather than intentional misrepresentation, reasonable efforts may be made to allow the participant to clarify or correct the information before a final decision is reached.

29. Final Decisions

All decisions relating to participant eligibility, disqualification, suspension, reinstatement, or removal from the program are made by GrowthConnect after considering the available information. Such decisions are final and are made to protect the integrity, fairness, and credibility of the LaunchPadX ecosystem for all participants.

By participating in LaunchPadX, applicants acknowledge and agree to abide by this policy and understand that maintaining honesty and integrity is a fundamental requirement throughout the program.
